Business Studies Success

As part of the year 10 Business Studies curriculum the students need to investigate a local small to medium enterprise. It involves researching the enterprises' purpose, aims, characteristics and activities. Lewis Marr from Education Enterprise Legacy LTD kindly visited the school to deliver a talk to our year 10 students about his enterprise. The students were really engaged, asked lots of questions and enjoyed the talk, taking plenty of notes for their coursework. The students were very professional, enthusiastic, and were keen to take on board all of the information. We would like to say a huge thank you to Lewis for delivering the talk.

The Business department would also like to thank Carole Burns from Woofs n Scruffs Durham, Sarah Gibbons, Kevin Kalandra from The Garage DL16 and Elaine Griffiths from The Stumble Inn for providing us with information that will help the students to complete their Component 1 coursework. It is invaluable that we have such links with local enterprises and they are willing to help our students. If any parents, carers or grand parents would like to assist our students with delivering a talk or providing information about their business in the future then please get in touch to business@fbec.uk
