Community Champion Award

Leon B in Year 9 was nominated by Mr Handley for the Spennymoor Town Council Young People Awards, 2023.

Leon won the Community Champion award for all his work with the Student Leaders team.

Leon is an anti-bullying ambassador in the school and has helped out with local charities and food banks, as well as working with the police to address issues of crime and anti-social behaviour.

Congratulations to Leon and his family for this well-deserved recognition of Leon’s hard work.
