Canada Turing Visit

Students have returned from an amazing adventure in Canada. The action-packed week was organised by Miss Langdale with the support of Mrs Johnson and the Turing Scheme.

Students spent the day at Niagara Falls and enjoyed getting soaking wet with a journey on the falls itself!

They also experience views from the top of the CN Tower, which stands at 553m tall. One of the highlights was attending a baseball game to watch the Toronto Blue Jays play the New York Yankees! Students fully engaged in all crowd participation! One evening students visited Toronto Island, where they had time to relax and explore before taking the boat back to the mainland to watch the sunset over the city.

Other exciting visits included: Museum of illusions, Ripley's Aquarium, Varsity University, Canadas Walk of Fame, Royal Ontario Museum, Roundhouse Park, Tim Hortons, Toronto Music Garden, Toronto Beach Front and much more!

Students were amazing, some having never flown before! Every Canadian they encountered praised their manners and positive attitude, they really were a credit to the school!

My favourite bit in Canada was the baseball game because of the entertainment and the amazing environment around it. I learnt how to cope away from family. I would definitely recommend this trip because it was the best week of my life. Overall the trip was an amazing experience and I loved every minute of it.

My favourite part of Canada was visiting the islands. I loved going on the boat and seeing the absolutely stunning views of the city skyline. I also loved the beach and the various parks across the island as there was always something to do there. Canada was my first time abroad and I loved everything about it, and I would 100% recommend this trip to others as it is a once in a lifetime experience and i am thanking you for giving me this amazing opportunity.

My favourite part of Canada was Niagra Falls. It was an amazing experience been able to get up close to them something I never imagined I would ever do. It was my first time away from my family, and it taught me how to cope when I do things without them. I’m really pleased I did it. I would recommend this trip to anyone who gets the chance to go even if you are a little scared do it you won’t regret it I would like to thank you for giving me the opportunity to go.
