Alton Towers & Thorpe Park Trip
On the 10th and 11th of October our Year 11 Business Studies students were given the opportunity to visit Thorpe Park and Alton Towers on a residential trip. We started the trip with an early morning on Sunday and a long drive to Thorpe park where the students were then given time to explore the park and experience the rides and take part in the fright night activities. We left the park on the Sunday evening for a short drive and then checked in to Staines Travelodge. We were then able to enjoy an evening meal at one of the local restaurants. The staff at the Travelodge were extremely complimentary of our students and said they were “one of the best-behaved school groups that had stayed in the hotel, the students were all extremely polite and considerate of other guests”.
Another early start on the Monday and we were on our wayfor a full day of fun and adventures at Alton Towers. Despite one of the main attractions being closed the students had a good time and were able to explore the park. All of the 49 students involved on the trip demonstrated excellent behaviour, they acted with integrity and arrived on time at all the different meeting points. The students and staff alike had a brilliant time.
Well done to all the students involved and a big thanks to
Mr Pinkney, Mr Handley and Miss Langdale who accompanied the students and to Mrs Craddock for her help
