Vacancy - Attendance Support Officer

Permanent contract

Grade 6, £27,269 - £30,060 pro-rata

Term time only – 37 hours per week

We are looking to appoint an Attendance Support Officer who will make a positive contribution to our attendance team, supporting this key school priority. The role will positively impact on the life chances of our students and, by improving attendance measures, you will help to raise their educational aspirations and outcomes.

Duties include: Working alongside the AHT (attendance), Student Support Officer and pastoral team to support improving attendance across the whole school; liaising with external agencies, parents and students to provide support and advice and to eliminate barriers to attendance; build strong relationships with parents and carers to emphasise the importance of regular attendance and a positive attitude toward education.

You will be joining a team that delivers a high-quality service to our students in relation to both safeguarding and attendance.

We are seeking candidates with a good all-round education who are passionate about making a positive difference to young people who can have face additional challenges to accessing education. Although you would be expected to have a thorough understanding of young people, you do not necessarily need to have worked in schools previously as full training will be provided.
