Turing Scheme Visit to Rome

Students from Year 9 visited Italy's capital, Rome, as part of the Turing Scheme. Rome is a city of huge cultural and historical significance, and fitting in all of the places of interest within a short visit was a real challenge.

The highlights were the guided tour of Vatican City and spending time in the Colosseum, where Gladiators fought in front of huge crowds. Students experienced Italian culture and cuisine, including frequent visits to the gelataria, as well as being helped out with some local knowledge and advice from a member of staff's son, who is completing his PhD at a University in Rome.

Thanks to Mr Kipling and Miss Major for organising the trip.
