Outward Bound Adventure

From Monday the 15th April to Friday the 19th April, 48 students from Year 7 & 8 travelled from Ferryhill to Ullswater in the Lake Distract for a week of adventure with the Outward Bound Company.

Throughout the week the students completed a range of activities, these ranged from the ‘Jog & Dip’ where the students had to jog and then jump into the lake, rowing and kayaking across Ullswater lake, climbing to the peak of Gowbarrow Fell, which stands at 481m highwhile witnessing the amazing views of the surrounding areas and seeing Aria Force waterfalls.

Also, the students went gorge walking and climbed up a waterfall leading to Angle Tarn. A highly successful week in which all students enjoyed their visit to the Lake District even though it was tiring at times.
