MPS/UPS (possible TLR for the right candidate)

 

We are looking to appoint a Teacher of Technology, Engineering specialism preferred, from September 2026 who can play a pivotal role in this department and who will make a positive contribution to the education of our students and within the wider school community.

 

This is an exciting time for Ferryhill School as we have been recently announced on the School’s Rebuilding Programme, providing an ideal opportunity for the successful candidate to be an integral part of the planning and design of the new learning spaces within the department.

 

You will be working with highly skilled and professional colleagues within Technology that deliver a high-quality service to our students and a wider school community that puts students at the heart.

 

The successful candidate would need to demonstrate the following:

·         Successful teaching of Technology with lesson observations that are good or outstanding

·         A proven track record of raising academic standards in Technology (not applicable to ECTs)

·         Excellent interpersonal skills

·         Experience of developing innovative support strategies for key students

·         A passion for making a positive difference to young people who can have additional challenges to accessing education
